Hong Zhao est Professeur Associé de Finance à NEOMA Business School en France. Il est diplômé de l'Arizona State University avec un doctorat en finance obtenu en 2017. Il enseigne la budgétisation et le financement des immobilisations, la gouvernance d'entreprise et la finance durable. Les intérêts de recherche de Hong relèvent de la large étiquette de financement d'entreprise empirique, avec un accent sur la gouvernance d'entreprise et les responsabilités sociales des entreprises. Ses articles actuels examinent comment les incitations managériales et les structures du conseil d'administration affectent la performance de l'entreprise. Il a également travaillé sur la diffusion inter-entreprises de la responsabilité sociale des entreprises et le rôle de la responsabilité sociale des entreprises dans la gestion de la chaîne d'approvisionnement. Il a notamment publié dans Corporate Governance: An International Review, International Business Review et Journal of Corporate Finance.
