Ses recherches portent sur l'entrepreneuriat social, avec un accent particulier sur les initiatives entrepreneuriales à visée compassionnelle et les réponses entrepreneuriales aux défis sociétaux. En s'appuyant sur des méthodes qualitatives, engagées et orientées sur le processus, ses travaux examinent comment les entreprises et initiatives prosociales émergent et se développent dans des contextes de crise, générant un impact social dans des situations de besoin aigu. Les travaux d'Anastasia ont été publiés dans des revues telles que Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice et Journal of Business Venturing Insights, et ont reçu plusieurs distinctions et récompenses, notamment le Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference Best Paper Award in Social Entrepreneurship. Elle est également membre de l'EMES, de l'European Group of Organization Studies (EGOS) et de l'Academy of Management. En parallèle de ses recherches, Anastasia s'engage dans le conseil aux politiques publiques et aux gouvernements, et contribue au développement des écosystèmes de startups.
